 🔍 It's a new day in search.

• Microsoft is going head-to-head with Google by announcing it's new Bing and Edge browser powered by ChatGPT AI.

• This morning, at a product event, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella unveiled the upgraded search tool calling it, "your AI-powered copilot for the web" while proclaiming that "it's a new day in search."

• In demos, the company displayed “the new Bing” working in various methods, first with a traditional search result with AI annotations, and next letting users talk directly to the Bing chatbot, asking it questions in a ChatGPT-like interface.

• The company says the new search site will be live today with users able to try a limited number of queries and sign up for future access.

• In addition to the Bing re-release, Microsoft launched two new AI-enhanced features for its Edge browser: “chat” and “compose" that will be embedded within Edge’s sidebar.

🆘 The crypto community rallies to send aid to earthquake-hit Turkey and Syria.

• In the aftermath of a deadly 7.8-magnitude earthquake in southeastern Turkey, the crypto community is coming together to raise funds and send aid packages for victims of the disaster.

• Crypto derivatives trader Bitget announced that it would commit 1M Turkish liras (~$53K USD), while Bitfinex, Keet, Synonym and Tether pledged 5M liras (~$265K USD), and Gate.io pledged 1M liras (~$53K USD).

• The Turkish branch of ByBit and OKX have both also committed to sending $100K USD and 1M liras (~$53K USD) in aid, respectively.

• The death toll is now at over six thousand people, with tens of thousands more injured.

• 🏆 Viola Davis joined the EGOT crew this week, winning a Grammy for best audiobook, narration & storytelling recording for her memoir, Finding Me. In case you didn't know, EGOT stands for Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Awards, and is the designation given to people who have won all four of the major American entertainment awards. Davis is only one of three black woman to reach EGOT status. What a baddie.
