The Rallie Recap
π€ Are you ready for the truth? Elon Musk is launching a new AI platform, and he's calling it TruthGPT.
This week, during an interview with Fox Newsβs Tucker Carlson, Elon Musk said heβs working on βTruthGPT,β a ChatGPT alternative that acts as a βmaximum truth-seeking AI.β
In the candid interview, Musk reinforced that this alternative approach to AI creation was needed to avoid the destruction of humanity, saying the new platform "might be the best path to safety" and "unlikely to annihilate humans" ...while adding, "It's simply starting late. But I will try to create a third option."
Musk also criticized OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, which he co-founded, saying it's "training the AI to lie" and that OpenAI has now become a "closed source", "for-profit" organization "closely allied with Microsoft". Fightin' words!
He also accused former friend and co-founder of Google, Larry Page, of not taking AI safety seriously, noting that Page once called Musk a 'specist' while discussing artificial intelligence. Now, that's a nerd dig if we've ever heard one.
You may remember from a few weeks ago, Musk and a group of artificial intelligence experts called for a six-month pause in developing systems more powerful than OpenAI's GPT-4, citing potential risks to society.
The new AI company is incorporated in Nevada and called X.AI Corp., in which Musk is the sole listed director, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Rallie Refresh: Exchange Traded Funds
π Want to invest in a diverse portfolio without the headache of managing individual stocks? Enter Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), the Swiss Army Knife of investing - versatile, practical, and always handy to have in your pocket. Here's the lowdown:
ETFs are like baskets of securities that can be bought and sold like stocks, and provide a convenient and flexible way to invest in a diversified portfolio.
They are traded on stock exchanges throughout the day, allowing investors to buy and sell shares in real time at market price.
ETFs generally have lower fees compared to actively managed mutual funds, which can save you lots of cash over the long term.
ETFs can track an index, commodity, or a specific sector, giving you exposure to a wide range of investments.
They are transparent, as their holdings are disclosed daily, allowing you to see exactly what they are investing in.
So whether you're a seasoned investor or just starting out, Exchange Traded Funds are a great investment option for anyone who wants simplicity, flexibility, and long-term results.
